I can't believe I am the first to post on this particular movie...in fact I didn't even see a topic for the Lord of the Rings movie either.

Check out these websites and tell me what you guys think so far of these extremely popular fantasy movie releases.

Lord of the Rings: http://www.lordoftherings.net/

I loved Dungeons and Dragons the movie so much because it brings out the fairy tale adventure in the modern day. But in a way that is also fun and exiting and sad and scary and romantic all at the same time. I really hope Courtney Solomon makes a sequel so that others as well as myself may experience this epic adventure again. If you have not seen this movie, I highly recommend that you rent it when it comes out on video on may 22.

I watched about the last 3/4 of this flick. I thought It was OK. I will not tout much about the acting (poor), but irf I were a 10 yr old, I would have thought it really awasome.

Unbelievable as it sounds, I've watched this film twice, although it is possibly the worst movie I've ever seen, and ever hope to. The nicest thing I can say about it is that if you watch it in the right frame of mind it is very funny indeed, but other than that...

And I have to mention Jeremy Irons, who was eating the scenery more than any actor I've ever seen, and that includes Brian Blessed in Flash Gordon. Just ouch. Oh and can anyone explain the ending to me?

No, no, no. I mean the ending where they put red rock on gravestone and something weird happens. Like they all turn into spirits and zoom off into the sunset or something. What did it mean?!

Just bad. Terribly disappointing. This kind of movie is why "normal" people lift their snoots when they hear the word "Fantasy".

Oh, that part. I have no idea. I also assume they were in a state to go visit his friend/partner, who is really not dead?

To all those people who hated this movie, I have just this to say. Ditto! If you're going to make a Dungeons and Dragons movie, you have to make it worthy of the many decades people have been creating fantastic complex stories playing the game(s). It is probably the biggest and most well-known role-playing universe ever. The movie should be something that future generations will look at as a classic, like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. It needs a huge budget and big names with dedication to the idea. And THE DRAGONS SHOULD LOOK REAL! Take the dragons from Reign of Fire and stick those in there, as well as some larger, more powerful dragon varieties. As we all know, there are thousands of species in D&D.
The people who made Dungeons and Dragons the movie need to be..... What would really be a suitable punishment for such a crime? I hope think before they make another one just like it.

I didn't like the D&D movie, either. It was clearly based off someone's campaign and the special effects were second, if not third, rate.
I know people who can draw more convincing dragons!

The Sequel:

Zinc Entertainment, a division of Joel Silver's Silver Pictures, will produce Dungeons & Dragons: The Sequel for an early 2004 release, Variety reported. Zinc will produce with Marching Band Productions and Sweetpea Entertainment.

The best bit of the D&D movie is when Jar Jar Binks dies...

With all due respect... this movie is the biggest pile of donkey poop I've ever had the misfortune to waste £3.50 at my local video rental store for. This film is an assualt on the intellect. I strongly urge anyone who has not seen this... I was going to say movie, but its not even worth that description...do not watch it, it's kack !!!
