Recently, my girlfriend mentioned a book that she found mentioned on Ridley Pearson's site entitled "Beyond the Deepwoods"...Some people are comparing it to Harry Potter...I'm not sure who the author is, but I do know it is the first in a series entitled The Edge Chronicles (pretty cool series title, if you ask me)...Just wondering if it is worth a look...I am a huge Potter fan

Keep chasing the dragon and eventually you will catch it

Edge chronicles-

i have read the edge chronicles and they are way better than potter. he is a sell out and has deserted his fans with that awful movie of his. Where as the edge chronicles are still good pure and plentiful. Try THE CURSE OF THE GLOAMGLOZER the prequel to the first three books CLOUD WOLF the world book day special, that reads about twigs fathers life and THE LAST OF THE SKY PIRATES set 50 years after the last of the first trilogy.

I repectfully disagree with you Air. The Harry potter Movies are pretty true to the books.

O.k, I know this is my third message in a row, but I just heard something really cool, apparently, in the twilight woods there is this council thingy that runs most of the edge, at the head of this council is the Queen of the twilight woods who is immortal, its just a rumor but I for one believe it

does anyone know when the next edge chronicle book is out/likely to be out? ive got them all - curse of the gloamglozer, cloud wolf, beyond the deepwoods, stormchaser, midnight over sanctaphrax, and last of the sky pirates, an i cant w8 for any more that might be on the way.
an about the harry potter films, they dont compare to the books, but they are pretty cool films in their own right (the acting is hilariously bad tho!) and im a huuuuuuuge fan of the books.
other series fans of these should check out are phillip pullmans 'HIS DARK MATERIALS' trilogy (consisting of 'NORTHERN LIGHTS', 'THE SUBTLE KNIFE' and 'THE AMBER SPYGLASS'), his other series, consisting of 'THE RUBY IN THE SMOKE', 'THE SHADOW IN THE NORTH' 'THE TIGER IN TEH WELL' and 'THE TIN PRINCESS' as well as the singular novels 'THE BUTERFLY TATTOO' and 'THE BROKEN BRIDGE', also by pp.
checkout 'DEATHSCENT' the first in the 'INTRIGUES OF THE REFLECTED REALM,' by robin jarvis, eoin colfer's series of artemis fowl: 'ARTEMIS FOWL (a.f.), 'a.f.: THE ARCTIC INCIDENT' and 'a.f. THE ETERNITY CODE', as well as terry pratchet's discword series.
Tolkein's 'THE HOBBIT' and 'THE LORD OF THE RINGS' are a must, as are the parodies (p*ss-takes) or lord of the rings and harry potter entitled 'BORED OF THE RINGS' and 'BARRY POTTER AND THE SHAMELESS PARODY'.
apologies for this being such a long entry, but i couldnt mention one book without mentioning the others,
love to u all ~ xxx erika xxx ~ (16 yrs)

I dunno when the next book is out, I hope its soon though. I can't survive on Just re-reading the first 6 books. I don't know what the 7th book is going to be called but I heard a rumour that the 8th is going to be called 'the downfall of the Night'.

It's an hour before US Pacific time. So if you are Eastern time, and the time stamp says 8:25 am, it means you posted it at your 12:25 pm.
