Bernard Cornwell- A true masterWe have moved to new forum software and posting here is closed!
Well he is one of my favorite authers, and currently im reading a book of his called "stonehenge" i thinks its fantastic and havent been able to put it down
I've also read "Stonehenge." In fact, I think it was the only book of Cornwell's that I've read, though I've heard very good things about all of his books. What I like best of all is that he stays true to archeological findings about Stonehenge while keeping the story interesting.
yeah... I first got into cornwell by reading his 'sharpes' seris... they are fantastic...
What is the "sharpes" series about?
The sharpes seris is about a soldier in the 1800's i cant explain it but here is the url to a thing about it http://www.bernardcornwell.net/index2.cfm?page=1&SeriesId=1
Aye, Cornwell is a very good author- the "Sharpe" series (about a base-born British soldier who rises through the ranks during the Indian, Peninsular and Napoleonic Wars, 1790-1815) just about falls into the "historical fantasy" category, as though the books are very well researched and all battles and major events are accurately described as they happened, the principal characters are ficticious.
Yeah i've read the one about the 100 years war. The books are "The Archer's Tale" and "Vagabond." I'm in Vagabond right now. It's pretty good.
