I have been getting lots of older SF paperbacks from eBay and friends cleaning out their attics. Some of the titles I enjoyed were:

The Starchild Trilogy by Frederik Pohl and Jack Williamson (good space opera with lots of twists and turns)

The Star Beast by Robert A. Heinlein (amusing story of a boy and his "pet" which is more than it seemed)

City of Illusions by Ursula Le Guin (a curious future Earth unfolds as a mutant travels to find answers to his origins.)

Stainless Steel Rat series by Harry Harrison (I finally got around to reading the whole series. Very funny!)

Fordo
