This list needed the addition of that old master of speculative fiction, Fritz Leiber. His best book is Ill Met in Lankhmar and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sword and sorcery. His style is a rich Lovecraft meets Ron Howard's Conan.
His quasi-heros Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser are antiheroic delights...they always get into mischief sometimes without even trying.

Not much more I can say, except please read Borealis's release of the Lankhmar series. This man is the grandfather of Sword and Sorcery.
