That's another thing. We should probably keep to books that are easier to find, so that we don't have to purchase them. I'm having trouble finding a place I can borrow the book, but I will keep searching.

I called the library this time, and they are ordering Uplift War from another branch. It is a good thing that we are working a book ahead so that we can be getting the next book.

Yes, I guess your right.

All books should be easy to find so that others can find them.

There are hundreds of very cheap used versions of "the Uplift War" avaiable through Amazon, by the way. New versions could arrive at your door in two days! I haven't seen it on Ebay. I ordered my version in too.

Looks like I won't get that first book on time. I'll try to keep up on it in the future!

I''ll check my library and see if they have it. I still don't have word from them.

Is anybody else having difficulty finding the book? Should I change it so that some of us may get it on time, Like Neurolanis and, possably, myslef?

I'm still waiting to hear from my library, too. They said they'd call when it came in.

Magus you mean report, not uplift? Just to be clear.

If we're talking about the short story, I have it already. However, The Uplift Wars I'm having a bit of trouble with.

I will probab;y decide to change it if I don't get it by Sunday or Monday. WHat with other people having trouble finding and acquiring it also, it seems to be the best thing to do.

I don't know if this helps or not, but Amazon.com has used copies of "The Minority Report" available for about $1.16 (plus shipping) from their affiliate sellers... it is also included in two anthologies: "The Minority Report and Other Classic Stories" and "The Collected Stories of Phillip K. Dick"... also available from Amazon.com at reduced prices...

That's a really good deal. Do you know how long it would take for them to ship it?

the affiliates usually ship via media mail, which tends to vary in delivery... I've gotten books anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks... however, when you order, you can select expedited shipping (which costs a couple of bucks more) and that'll get it to you in a couple of days...

Is it O.K. with everybody if I change my choice of book? I'm possative I won't be able to get "The Minority Report", save by Act of God. Is this O.K. with everyone?

I was only borrowing it from the library, and it hasn't arrived yet at the branch I use besides. So it is OK with me. I don't know about someone who has bought the book though? I should still be getting it and will read it anyway.

I really did want to read it. But my library said that they would get it in only a few days, by Wednesday or Thursday. It's now going to be Monday and I still have yet to hear from them. Also, a lot of other people seem to be having trouble finding the book.

I'm good with whatever you decide, Magus... you can always save the book for when your turn comes up again... although, if you switch now, it'll take a while for people to get your second choice; probably just as long as if we stuck to Plan A... :-)

That's what I'd like to know. Is it better that The Minority Report is read, and I just abstain from it, not having a copy?
