There is nothing in it that will change your life, and make you name your kids after the characters (LOTR), but you will definetely enjoy them. Swashbuckling, is how I would describe it. The first, The Gilded Chain starts out excellently then sinks to good. I'm not familiar with the 2nd one, but I am reading the third (Sky of Swords) and it is a great read and has some excellent characters. The Blades concept is one that I throuroughly enjoy and how they interact with their wards is interesting to say the least. So my final synopsis is: good books, hampered in some areas but nevertheless are great reads. Go buy one! PS: I apologize for my poor spelling and grammar. I haven't been in school for a few months now, and after 2 weeks into the summer, all knowledge is washed away
