Firstly as I'm new to this forum I'd like to say "HELLO" to everybody out there.
Now to the topic.
Having recently found the Book " A trace of memory by Keith Laumer." in a local secondhand book store,I just felt compelled to say how good it is,being over thirty years old it's not exactly
state of the art sci-fi,but it's got a wonderful 50's b-movie quality.
Maybe most of the people in this forum have already heard of him,if any of you have could you please recommend anything else that he has written

Bolo
A Plague of Demons

Both excellent books by Keith Laumer.

Also read the "Retief" series (my personal favorite) by Laumer. The main character, Jame Retief, is more of a futuristic version of James Bond. He works for the Corps Diplomatique Terrestrienne, and has to defend Earth interests from the Soviet-like Groaci.
