Perfect way to seque into B5:TMOS, whatever it may turn out to be. Latest info, seems to point to WB making an official announcement about B5:TMOS in mid May, probably during the presentation in New York of the new Season TV shows, while they are selling airtime for Advertising. This does not neccessarily mean it is TV related project, but the clues JMS has given lead a high percentage of people to believe the announcement will be made in New York at this event.

"I am a Sinclair fan"
I, too. However, I haven't had the opportunity to really WATCH B5 since the first couple of episodes after Sheridan came aboard.
However, I may, too, be biased, since when I see Sheridan I think "The Scarecrow and Mrs King".
*Aldan shudders*

Aldan, Scarecrow and Mrs King was in re-run on one of the cable TV about 5 years back. I used to watch just for the laughs.

If anyone is interested, you can rent the B5 DVDs through Netflix. So if you missed episodes, watch the series on your own terms, or make video tapes of the series in order without commercials, this is one way to do it.

Iz, this would be the story that Londo tells the kids before Sheridan and Delenn are brought up to be "executed". It fits in pretty nicely. The only area that seems to be off is the Sheridan, G'Kar, Franklin issue.

A new little pebble from an IGN Film Force Interview with JMS:

IGNFF: What is the future of the B5 universe?

JMS: Wait about a month and you'll find out. The clue is in the opposite of can't.

Apparently Cannes Film Festival is in the middle of May, and is on the "wrong side of the river"

So now we have another viable option.

So, perhaps, in the middle of May WB will make an announcement at the Cannes Film Festival (Rather than at the announcement of the fall schedules, and selling of Advertisement space)

LOL. yeah, it is getting frustrating, but, hopefully word will come in the middle of May, so only a month left. We started this wait back in Spetember I think, so, it's almost over, and then 2-3 weeks after the announcement PoA Movie hits the screens. Seems like it's gonna be a great prelude to summer.

Se now, I always thought that the reference to Europe was that it is "On the other side of the pond" or "Across the pond" etc???

Another take on this:

The opposite of Can't is Can

So, The Clue is in (The opposite of Can't)

May mean, the clue is in the can (IE: Completed and ready to be displayed)

Or it could mean "can" short for Kansas, which is west of the Mississippi River.

The capital of Kansas is Topeka, which ends in an "a" which is the letter right before "b".

Also, Topeka has five letters (if you don't count the "T" ).

And the annual Buster Keaton Festival is coming up (note that Buster Keaton also begins with a "b" and that Buster and Keaton are both five letters long if you don't count the "B" and the "K" )

So my guess is the announcement will be made there.

;)

I don't know. Have we ever correctly deciphered one of JMS's cryptic hints? I think it's just easier to wait a month.

Boy, I'll say this, though. TV SciFi is in desperate need of a shot in the arm. Geez, we should be trying to market an idea. It's a complete vacuum. There is nothing on at all. We ought to save up our nickles and dimes and send a delegation to pitch Crossroads or Melius to the suits.

JMS's messages' are always a mystery wrapped in an enigma and that's the point.
He loves baiting we fans because he knows we love being baited and networking all over the 'net looking for the meaning of his posts.
A "puppet master"? Sure. Best one working TV!

Best advertising gimmic ever thought up was;
Give 'em half of what they want at half price, then charge twice the price to see the rest.
Works every time, just look at "reality" TV. (American Idol as an example).
Costs nothing to produce compaired to scriped TV, sucks up the ratings and the "sheeple" love it!

I trust JMS will announce more better later.
For now we B-5 fans have something to look forward too which is far better than most SF offerings on the "square eye" these days.
ST-Enterprise...boring.
Andromeda...still has a slight chance with better writers.
Firefly (buy the complete series DVD).

Bottom line is JMS has delivered the type of SF entertainment (B-5, Crusade) that serious SF fans desire so I'm hoping we see something here to equal his earlier efforts.

I watched the Gathering this weekend (Re-edited Version on the Double DVD with In The Beginning), and had a question.

Prior to watching the whole series, the impression is that if Sinclair was allowed to be taken by the Vorlons to their homeworld for trial, that would've been a very bad thing. Now with hindsight, I wonder, would it have been that bad afterall, would anything have changed much?

The Vorlons being all-powerful, knew who Jeffery Sinclair was, and his importance, and it seems to me unlikely that they wouldn't have been able to scan his mind, or some other trick to discover that he really didn't do anything to Kosh afterall, and even if they weren't able to discover Sinclair was innocent, would they really have killed him, or would they believe that his importance to history outweighed the crime?

Seems to me the only real differences would be, he wouldn't have gotten back together with Catherine Sakai, and he would've started training to be Entilzah a few months earlier, and perhaps gotten a bigger taste of Vorlon Homelife

What do you all think?

Good point Sinditur. Obviously the Vorlons have known for 1 thousand years that Sincalir would become Valen, so it does kinda make you wonder how that outcome would have changed how and when they brought him back in time through the rift. I suppose they could have put him "on ice" till such time as they brought him back, but then again, they needed to bring him back with babylon 4. In a way, it does not make sense. Maybe it was just KOSH who knew the truth. I expect that the Vorlons should have known that Siclair was innocent from the beginning since he would have told them or they would have known altready for 1000 years what really happned. (head is spinning ...time puzzles)

We have always been here.

The Vorlon knew of the events at the "Battle of the Line" (And, The Sky Full of Stars) having already lived it in their prescience (that being the POSSIBLE time line from any event), but things changed with the introduction of Delenn into the equation.

Delenn as the "wild card" understood the "truth" that Human & Minbari souls were being born as one
which led to the surrender of the Minbari at the "Battle of the Line".

Sinclair was the other "wild card" as we saw in WWE Pt.'s 1&2.
The future as seen by the Vorlon was not "set in stone" because of these "wild cards" so the plans of the Vorlon were also subject to change without notice (as we saw in S-4).

That's the beauty of Babylon.
Fate, or destiny, or whatever one chooses to call it, is never the final version of reality.
Vorlon prescience did not come to pass because of the "wild cards".
The entire story arc was altered because of this.

We as mire mortals stand witness to the glory of the writing of JMS.

Yo Man The Truth is s 3 edgerd sword!

I don't know about the putting him on ice part Nomad. He had to be taught to be Valen, so they may have just sent him to Minbar earlier, and he wouldn't have neccessarily been Ambassador (Although I believe the Ambassordorship was merely an excuse for him being sent there).

I agree with you about the future not being set in stone Zim. That's why I figured nothing much would have changed, had they really taken Sinclair back home for trial. Had they executed him, he would not be available to take B4 back in WWE 1&2, and become Valen, so the Shadows would've come out stronger from the last great war. Being the side of Order, one would think they would do whatever was neccessary to ensure time played out the same way this time through the "Closed Circle". Ksoh most certainly recognized Sinclair immediately, as in the Re-edited version of the Gathering, Kosh greets Sinclair with "Entilzah Valen". Ceratinly the second Vorlon with Kosh (That welcomed Valen to the past) would also have recognized Sinclair, even if it wasn't a generally known fact among the Vorlons.

Zim,
Sinclare (aka Valen) wrote himself a letter that was stored with the Minbari for 1000 years. That is kinda written in stone. (Here we go again with the time puzzles..yikes)

Nomad, you make a good distinction, the past is written in stone, but, not set in stone.

Sinclair has always gone back to be Valen, and has to in order for things to play out the same, but, things could change if the *Wildcards* (as Zim so aptly put it) don't fall into the right place.

Another reason the Vorlons as an entire race (rather than just Kosh1 and his counterpart that welcomed Valen. Did we ever find out if the other Vorlon was Ulkesh? I know the other one on Minbar was) should have known is because B4 had already disappeared by the time Kosh came to B5.

I was watching In the Beginning recently. I think Kosh and the other Vorlons "knew" everything about the time of Valen (since they were there) plus anything Sinclair/Valen chose to tell them about his life and experiences up until he became a time traveler. So presumably, they already knew how history would unfold at the Battle of the Line (that they didn't have to intervene, they just had to prompt Delenn at the right time) and also all about the Babylon projects, but the didn't know what the outcome of the Shadow War would be (since Sinclair didn't either).

Quick question for Zim and Sind, Is it "Truth is a three-edged sword" or "Understanding is a three-edged sword." I seem to recall the Sheridan told the Vorlon and Shadow representatives "You say, understanding is a three edged sword. There's your side, their side, and the truth."

That's the way I remember it Iz,
"...understanding is a three edged sword. There's your side, their side, and the truth."

funny, i was thinking about that line this morning for some reason, and at first i remembered it as "truth is a three edged sword" the way zim stated it. but then i thought wait, must be something other than truth, because the line ends with a statement about truth.

i canceled cable recently, and have been watching one taped B5 episode a day in lieu of trying to get PBS on the rabbit ears.
