Moya is boarded by a gang of ruthless bounty hunters, forcing Crichton (Ben Browder) to team up with an untrustworthy ally to drive off the invaders.

Well that's the blurp from TV Guide Online.
I'm really hoping this is not another trip down the rabbit hole ala *Lava* & *JQ* and that we get back into the story arc as we are already 1/3 through this season.
I mean, everything left hanging after *DW2B* is still unresolved. What planet were Chiana & Rygel on when she got raped & punched out? What happened to Ka D'argo going after Macton? Who was Aeryn working for as an assassin and why is she willing to risk everything to keep that secret? What about the pending invasion by the Scarrans and how do wormholes play in all of this?
The *Old Woman*...oh, who cares about her?

I wonder whom the untrustworthy one is? Scorpius or Grayza or?
Happy Farscape Friday.

Good use of Nanny Nutzoid. I recommend leaving her floating outside the ship in all episodes. Improves the scenery and the plot.

I'm still kind of hoping for the day when the crew will make a move toward Dargo's or Rygel's homeworld. In the meantime, this new location, an nexus of wormholes, sounds interesting. Maybe it will help flush out what Scorpius is really up to.

Hummm, guess I'm one of the few who liked and/or watched this episode? There was lots to like.

First off a few comments.
Oh how John has changed in the last 3 cycles. He has gone from naive lost space jockey to ruthless killer that rivals any PK combat trooper. Think about how easily he took on the Coreeshi *one by one* using all the tools at hand including a kind of bear trap as he called it without batting an eye.
I sometimes forget that Crichton was once not used to the violence in the UT's but he has become a major part of it as well as a legend. Killing has become "matter of fact" to him now. Should he ever return to Earth will he be able to fit in again or suffer from *UT combat syndrome*?
Another thing is the wide range of emotions the prop dept. puppet masters are able to achieve with Pilot.
When Aeryn & John were walking into the trap during the game in *JQ* Pilot had the most devious look on his face. Then in *ISTIA* he was showing real concern for Chiana and Sikozu when they were being threatened by Axikor.
Then there's Scorpius. Again, think about it.
Moya is definitely "home" to the crew as we saw how they were all so happy to be back aboard in *Promises*. Except that Aeryn brings Scorpy along.
So now John has his mortal enemy and worst fear aboard as a shipmate. How strange it must be to have to work with Scorpius as an ally. As they say though; "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". I agree with John, watch Scorpy 24/7!

I give ISTIA a 3/5 only because I did not like the Coreeshi that much. Like most everybody our heros have been fighting lately they "looked" real tough but as fighters were lacking in combat skills.
And those flashing eyes??? Bogus IMO.
Iz your right, a mostly granny free ep. Works for me.
The shrinking scenes were neat, especially when the "beer cans" were rolling around, that was funny. Chiana put her new talent to good use and again showed us she has learned to control it at will. The blindness does seem temporary which is a good thing.
The other characters even though hand-cuffed were able to influence the outcome by always telling Axikor how bad to the bone John is. Aeryn cracked me up with;
Axikor: "When will I meet John Crichton?".
Aeryn: "One microt before he kills you".

So the Coreeshi were working on the surface for Grayza. Seems she has no faith in the Colarta blood trackers that Xhalax Sun used.
Interesting twist that Axikor was a Scarran spy. That adds more intrigue into the story arc about the coming conflict between the PK & Scarrans. I can't wait to see John tell Grayza, if he gets the chance, that her main mercenary leader was a traitor.
Being chased by everybody, Moya et al are heading off into *Tormented Space*. Sounds like fun.
The Pathfinders (Neeyala) mentioned a "nexus" of wormholes, maybe this is the place? Pilot seemed to think so.
This week Aeryn returns to the story of her work as an assassin. Question is, will this be a "flashback" episode as Aeryn is taken back to stand trial on the world Ullom was from (Promises) or an ep. shot before Promises? I lean towards the former as we see Crichton in the teaser but during Promises John did not have a clue what Aeryn had been up to.

Yeah, I had missed the episode. I WILL, however, be glued to my SciFi channel this evening.

"I Shrink, Therefore I Am" - Just a few thoughts on Zim's commentary:

1. John, the Ultimate Warrior (tm) - As time has passed in the UT, John has abandoned his long-held belief that the first tactic should be to seek a peaceful solution to all problems. Once one assumes that ruthless violence is the first response, then his actions make perfect sense. I was also a bit surprised by how effective he was against the bounty hunters, but hey, Humans Are Superior! :-)

2. Scorpius, shipmate (?) - This was not as much of a surprise as it seemed to be on the surface. Scorpius made himself an enemy in Grayza, apparently one who is even more ruthless that he is. It would be natural for him to seek refuge with our merry band and it is certainly in his best interest to make sure that they are not captured by Grayza (or anyone else for that matter). While his ultimate motivation remains hidden, he did sincerely risk life and limb to help out in this situation. As for his future actions, watching him like a hawk would be a good start.

3. The Coreeshi (sp? - I can barely understand what they say half the time) - While they appeared to be formidable opponents, they certainly weren't all that bright. As for Grayza, I think that she is using every resource that she can bring to bear to recover John, et. al.

4. Noranti (a.k.a. Nanny Nutzoid) - I really don't know what to make of this character and I'm not alone. TPTB did the right thing in leaving her out of this particular episode, for the most part. This story needed to focus on John and to have her knocking around too much would have just been too much of a distraction. Having her remembered almost after the fact did provide a nice touch of humor.

5. The Skarran spy (a.k.a. "The Plot Thickens";) - Well not really. We've been shown that the Skarrans have a taken a great deal of interest in John on a number of previous occasions. This was just a convenient way to introduce the ruling class of Skarrans.

6. "Honey, I Shrunk the Hostages!" - This was a pretty inventive method for containing hostages - no need for those pesky guards and such. It's also a nice way of getting additional protection from hostiles. Not that it worked all that well at the end of the day, but it was nice thought. I found Rygel's comments about being able to breathe the air despite their small size particularly illuminating. Nice reality check :-)

7. Tormented Space - I think Aeryn's reaction at the end says it all. "Stand By For News!"

Yeah Gizmo.
I've taken to using the close captioning on my TV while watching tapes of episodes to understand the dialogue lately which has the added benefit of getting the spelling of characters names correct.
Funny thing is, during ISTIA when they were speaking Scarran the universial translator in my Sony failed to work so I never did get just what Axikor was saying to Grayza's command carrier

What I meant about Scorpius was that he was the last person Crichton expected to see once he was back safely aboard Moya. The guy just can't catch a break. Frelled up relationship with Aeryn, Granny's got him hooked on Lika bud and his new best friend is the same person who put him through the ringer in the Aurora chair, gave him a neural clone, gave him over to Natira as a boy toy at the Shadow Depository and threatened to find and destroy Erp if he didn't give up the knowledge in his head about wormholes among other things.
Not to mention killing 10,000 Bannak slaves on a whim.
Maybe these days he does need to sniff Lika to; "take the edge off".
I'm hoping that the writers have John pay the consequences for using drugs to deal with life events that are overwhelming him right now so as not to send the wrong message to anyone that drugs are the answer to emotional pain or other personal problems.

OK, I watched tonights ep and while it had a lot of... hmmm..how shall I put this... regular character building as well as regular character "knowing each others ways" type situations, I think that this was nothing more than an ep to show that the regualr characters are as one.

They were ther to get supplies on their own whil Moya was out of commission. It just shows that they all NEED each other and basicaly trust eacdh other. Even our new red haired chick.

I suppose I could have gotten A LOT deeper when it comes between the bug induced situations between Aeryn and John, but Ill wait to see it again. But , IMHO, it was obvious...ITS LOVE!

There was a lot going on here and I think it was like a JMS typoe thing. Character bulding, again. Time to renew th actual ARC!

Oh yeah...one more thing....WELCOME BACK GIZ! Been a while!
