Scifi and Fantasy Forum: Television: The Prisoner
The PrisonerWe have moved to new forum software and posting here is closed!
I have The Prisoner on DVD and noticed that the room where Number 6 passes out from the gas after he resigns is at least partly like the room where he awakens in the Village. The sofa and cushions, the wall color, the pictures, the curtains.
Hi Bmat,
Thanks, Sindatur. We are working our way through them in order just now. Although, we noticed that the two we just watched that had the same #2 would make more sense in the opposite order. #2 seemed very anxious in the first but not in the second of the pair. So it would seem that the one where he was getting desperate should have been first of the two.
That would be Leo McKern? I believe the one with the cage (or running through London's streets, sorry been too long since I've watched them) was meant to be the last episode when he actually did get free, although I don't remember what the twist was.
Colin Gordon
When I was like 4 years old there was some tv show that had a dramatic impac ton me. There was some guy in a padded room - the walls were like 4 foot sections. This man would be screaming, beating on the walls for attention etc. Occassionally someone would come in - a nurse with food, his wife being so sorry he's in there etc, and then they'd leave again.
It the DVD totally worth it? The show seems like its really a smart show -- wasn't it British? The BBC?
