He's nasty looking and behaving.

Is the interaction of John and the Scorpy inside his head going to diminish the effect of Scorpius as villain?

I doubt it. It's a constant reminder of how EVIL the real Scorpy is. The inner scorpy is every bit as evil as the real deal, however he's now just part of John's mind and memories. John seems to have a good grip on controlling those thoughts.

I think when John finally defeats scorpy, he'll defeat the inner demon as well, cause IMO, that's really all this is. His own fear and insecurities. And at times, a horrible version of his conscience. I know John feels aweful for some of the things that have happened, and probably responsbile for most of them. That's the kinda guy he is. I imagine his self image is somewhat monsterous. What better image to display that then the very being that embodies it?

I'm just looking forward to John stomping scorpy under his boot. Again, and again, and again....

I don't think so either. I see the inner Scorpy as something totally different from the real Scorpius. Without the chip, he's more "figment of the imagination". I don't even see him as an inner demon anymore. John controls him, and makes him behave the way he wants him to behave. The remnant "identity" of the inner Scorpy allows him to converse with John, but he has no will of his own anymore.

When the real Scorpy shows up again, I have no doubt he will be just a wicked as ever!

It takes away from the essence of the character, IMO. I believe that it would be better for the character to be a bit illusive. I see that you are saying that he is illusive since it isn't the character but a shadow of him. Yet I think it is detracting from the character to have him this visible, and in a derisive way, as opposed to having him appear on occasion.

I think you'll be surprised. Right now you see this "stooge" like version of scorpy, but when he shows up with brain kabobs, I think you'll remember, whoah, this thing with John ain't jack compared to the real deal ;)
