I am and have been for some time searching for some information about a television movie involving a catastrophe which occurs in our future involving a youth drug. It causes de-evolving in most of the worlds population and those remaining dome off cities to remain safe from the mutants. I remember each person had a colored crystal showing who you could and could propagate with to prevent any more mutated births.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

This seems like a similar request we had a month or so ago. I can't find it though- does anyone else remember it?

It seems a lot like a farscape episode where people touched jewels or some other device to determine if they matched geneticallyl.

The cyrstal and domes sound a lot like Logan's Run, but the similarities end there.

Where did you see this movie? U.S. television? U.K. television? French telelvision?

Told someone about the description and found out it may be "Island City" (1994) with Kenvin Conroy and Eric McCormack, who played a clone. My own memories are fuzzy on this but I think it aired on one of the syndication channels, not on the networks.

It was Island City, I actually watched Starship Troopers 2 recently and remembered one of the actresses Strong, played in it also. Thanks for all the help!
