But that creature that hit's moya is odd.. I think it's going to put the gang in some sorta lucid state.. On a side note though, what if "doubling john" didn't double the scorpy clone and John A doesn't have the scorpy creeping in his mind but John B does? That would mean John B is the real deal - however I like John A cause he's getting the action with Ayren. I also don't think they'll come back together. I have a feeling that one will die. Or worse, the clone will start to degrade or break down. I hope not though. I think John B will start feeling left out and when he gets a chance he'll take an un-necessary risk and get himself killed or he'll do like Riker 2 and split. --Crowe

And that it will mess up Aeryn but good with John B to *try* to pick up the pieces. How much would it mess you up to have the person you love die because of you, then show up again different, but the same? As far as the Budong, I have to agree that it worked well as a catalyst for a lot that was going on with the story. But if we had learned more about it in this ep, it would have weakened the story overall. This ep was a really strong character piece for dealing with the quartet (including Talyn who is as big a force in the John/Aeryn/Crais relationship at this point as they are). It also establishes Rygel and Stark as a *couple* quite nicely. Me Iz - np, thanks for clairifying. Whenever I become a assiz, I try to make sure I haven't pissed that person off
Hi all. I too have to agree with everyone...this was a very strong episode. Well done, Ben B! It had several interesting and surprising twists. Talyn IS a spoiled brat! Not that Crais doesn't deserve being taken down a notch or two, but ouch! Nasty. I loved the whole jealousy triagle...really added to Talyn's 'personality'. Posessive, mistrusting. Kinda cool that Aeryn was able to convey the feeling of needing someone to Talyn..obviously the little Leviathan has feelings. I too loved the one liners in this ep! Esp. Aeryn's remark to Talyn about who is "bigger". And Rygel's loose comment. Hee Hee. I still miss Zhaan, but at least I am beginning to be able to tolerate Stark. I can't imagine how gross it must feel to have Rygel of all beings vomit on you. Eeeeccch!! I love the chemistry between the characters...they seem to adapt well to change, and still work together. Still don't care much for Jool, though...mostly eye candy for the guys. I guess I will give her the benefit of the doubt for now. I like the tension between J/A/C. I like the transformation Crais has undergone. Admittedly I liked him when he was the nasty PK, but I like him even more now. It was unusual to see him smile. Nice smile. John really was envious of Crais...until he learned that Aeryn never...err...recreated with him. Can this series get any better???

No need to waste money on showing us more Budong as we got to see plenty of the interior of one during *HotR*. btw, imho, the shots of the b-dog were second class CGI. I for one would rather see the production dollers spent on more new and exciting worlds like the Royal Planet, Skykar or Kanvia and the cool & wild people who populate them. There is an endless line of posters triping over each other praising the writing of GEM by Ben over at the SFC bbs. OK, it was good. Not as tough of a job though as a writer without the benefit of working with the cast and crew for over 2 years. Ben i'm sure was able to visualize each actor acting out his script and overall it worked in adding to the quality of the series as a whole. As others have posted, the JC/A/C/Talyn relationships were a real surprise but I would like to add to those observations. It's easy to forget just how bad-assed the PK really are. When we first met Crais, he was a first rate bad guy out to kill John at all costs including his career. He has *mellowed* only because of circumstance. As John said, "the weather changes, not people", and is right not to trust him too far with the safety of Moya's crew. Aeryn Sun, as seen in *TWWW* was also a tough as nails PK, 'just following orders' when she helps kill Moya's former pilot and betrays the love of Velorek. Talyn has up until now, seemed at first a cute little baby leviathan, then later a learning little leviathan with a big gun that just needed some *tough love* from Crais. Remember that Talyn fired first causing all the problems for the crew during *TUT*. I think we're seeing now that Talyn, as created by PK science, is not a mere beast of burden like Moya (sorry, Moya is sweet and all but so are horses), but is showing his true PK breeding as a ruthless killer willing to do anything, control or kill anyone, fabricate facts and even lie to futher his own survival. A true *sentient* PK warship. Crais is now slave not master of Talyn. Aeryn and Crais were able to overcome their PK conditioning, can Talyn? Where the writers go with this is anyone's guess. After I posted in the *TfS* topic that Aeryn may not be as tough as she talks about having to kill her own mother in a choice between her and Talyn and that indecision may cause her to hesitate at a critical moment I read something over at the SFC bbs that I thought I'd share here. (thanks to Capt. Hornblower) Remember Jenovia from the *LatP* trilogy? She was a member of the Security Directorate and one would suspect reports back to the PK high command. She ah, recreated with Crichton while on the Royal Planet (at the time i thought the purpose was to collect some of John's sperm for DNA testing for the PK to study as he was clearly not Sebacean). Now, what if she taped it! Nothing kinky but for scientific research (you know, this is how these wierd aliens called Humans recreate). John has no reason to tell Aeryn about that and now that they are being more honest about their feelings towards each other he may have thought about getting around to it but then again maybe not for as Aeryn has said, "that's not important, why would it be now?". Sooooo, the PK high command gives this *strategic* information to Xhalax Sun with, "use this at the proper time". This theory is based upon the idea that Jenovia, as a trained PK spy, would have picked up that John was protective of Aeryn, implying the *possibility* of a relationship between them. Sooooo, Xhalax's ship and Talyn close in for a battle to the death (SOD again) and Xhalax says, "Well dear we've not talked for quite some time, have you seen this?" and plays the PK vid chip. Stay tuned. ZimNova

They know the show and the characters. I also think Ben had the advantage of the writers. He said himself he went to them for advice. Compound that with the fact that he was likely given "points" that he must cover in this ep to futher along the plot. The think that got me about this EP is how "Farscape" it was. I don't think anyone would disagree that Ben's has greatly influenced the show. In tone, comedic elements and dialog. This GEM gave the show a chance to put all that into the forefront. Ben has a very natural talent for dialog. His story was good, but the character elements were what stood out. And like he said in his article - he's got people to thank for that. The guys who make the show week after week have given him this great background of material to draw from. I think Ben really gets behind the show though. I think his love for it comes through in his character and in his performance on and off the screen. I think Farscape has done something that hasn't been done since B5 and before that ST:TNG - And that's get a cast together that really clicks. They work well together. They've got chemistry, charisma and screen presence. Viva la Farscape - So they say. --Crowe
