Mutant X is now on in New Zealand, I saw the first ep last night, I must say I like it very much, it was a bit predictable in some areas, but that's what you get when you watch lots of these programs.... One thing I didn't like is some of the camera work, some of those slow shots (or what ever there called)reminded me of Mission Impossible 2(where it was over done too), I thought get on with the story, then other sences were to fast...
News: Mutant X was renewed for its third season. It is carried in 103 markets, representing 76 percent of the United States. DK: I watch all of season 1, and like the show, anyone else watch it?
Smith Previews Mutant X Lauren Lee Smith, who plays the "tele-empath" Emma de Lauro on the syndicated Mutant X, told SCI FI Wire that upcoming episodes of show, including this week's "At Destiny's End," will cast her character in a new light. "['At Destiny's End'] is my big episode," Smith said in an interview just days before Tribune Entertainment announced its renewal of Mutant X for a third season. "It's my favorite episode. It's different from the rest of the episodes." Smith added, "Emma pretty much falls in love with this beach dude [Ryan Scott Greene] and takes off. She follows him and falls madly in love and gets her heart broken. It was a lot of fun. I got to go on jet skis and be in the water. It's definitely not what you usually see Emma doing." Smith went on to say that de Lauro will take an even darker turn in the season's 20th and 21st episodes. "She starts questioning Adam [John Shea] and getting a little bit pissed off at him," Smith said. "She starts screwing around with everybody's minds and going into the rest of the team's minds when she's not really welcome to. So they're really playing around with her the last couple of episodes [of the season]." Mutant X airs in first-run syndication.
Posted By: Nomad Feb 01, 2003 - 05:13 pm | | OK, when I digress to my teenage years. Man, there are a few Hot babes in the show. I watch it swhen I can. In fact todays lineup was Mutant X, Andomeda then Enterprise.
Mutant X Suit Partly Settled Fox and Marvel Enterprises have settled a long-running lawsuit over the Mutant X television show, which is in its second year, Variety reported. But Fox has not settled with Tribune Entertainment, the syndicator, and Fireworks Entertainment, the producer and international distributor, the trade paper reported. In a joint release, Fox and Marvel said the parties have amicably resolved their differences and put the lawsuit behind them and look forward to an expanded relationship. The terms of the settlement are confidential, the trade paper reported. Fox sued Marvel, Tribune and Fireworks in April 2001 to stop production of a television show it claimed was a copycat of Fox's X-Men movie, the trade paper reported. A federal court judge in New York enjoined the show from using the X-Men logo and films clips, but allowed the show to go forward. On appeal, the court reinstated false advertising claims against Tribune and Fireworks. The case has been in litigation since January 2002, the trade paper reported.
Looks like they didn't play all of season one last time, oh well, I have now seen all of season one here in NZ (they didn't play the last two eps). Now on to season 2...... Well since the show was on last time, I have gone of the show abit, same old story some new mutant, both sides try to get mutant, the show starts of in some boring part of some building.... (SPOILER coming if you have not watch "A Breed Apart" end season 1) . . . The ep "A Breed Apart" start off the same, a boring corrider, in some building, with GSA agents and Mutant X trying to get to the mutant...this has become borrrriiiiinnnnnggggg It got abit better after that..... So Eckhart is out of the picture, and Gabriel has taken over Genomex, does this mean things will change, or not?
Mutant X Changes Cast John Shea (Adam) will not be returning as a cast member of Mutant X for its third season, but will be featured as a special recurring guest star, Tribune Entertainment told the Comics Continuum Web site. The third season of the SF TV series will begin in syndication the week of Sept. 29. In other casting changes, Karen Cliche will play a new character, Lexa Pierce, and Lauren Lee Smith, who played Emma, will not be returning. Victor Webster (Brennan), Victoria Pratt (Shalimar) and Forbes March (Jesse) will all return, the site reported. In the season premiere, "Into the Moonless Night," Lexa Pierce is introduced as the unwitting subject of genetic experimentation gone awry, who has powers that allow her to manipulate light in amazing ways, the site reported. The team also learns that everything they thought they knew about their world and Sanctuary no longer applies. DK: This show has become borrriiiinnnggg, hopeful the changes will make it more interesting, but I don't think so....
Tribune Entertainment has renewed the syndicated SF series Mutant X for a fourth season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. from http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire
Posted By: Magus Sep 25, 2004 - 03:35 pm | | It's a pretty cool show. Unfortunately it has odd hours of showing. Where I am it only comes on at 12:30 at night on Sunday. So that meens the only time when I can see it is when I'm up at that time and have no school on Monday. So, unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot of the show.
mutant x is the best programme. i have seen nearly all of the epsodes that have been made.
