A contract which after being reviewed by Data is upheld as valid. She even made Worf flinch when she transforms into the Klingon version of the devil. Of course our valiant Capt. Picard is not fooled by her trickery. Come to think of it, Audra was a kind of *technomage*, using technology to produce the effects of magic. ZimNova

There will be no shooting in our forums. We prefer putting the dungeon to good use. I have an iron maiden all picked out...

Nommy... I think the ep you are thinking about was called "The Catspaw." That was the ep that had the chick with the big hair and the wizard sidekick. She could turn herself into a cat. They had that magic wand thingy called the transmuter. When Kirk or Spock destroyed it, the beings reverted back into a simple reptile or insect like creatures. Hmmm...what are you guys up to with an "Iron Maiden?"

Although trek lore forestalls direct contact between the Romulans and humans in this series, the two species did actually go to war in the 2150s [within the time span of "Enterprise?"]. Apparently, the war was a series of deep space engagements between ships, without any direct contact. "Once the planet Romulus was colonised, the Romulans rapidly spread to their systems second habitable planet, Remus. From their they founded an interstellar empire spanning dozens of worlds. In the 2150's this empire came into contact with the rapidly expanding Human sphere of influence, and a brief but intense war resulted. This war was fought entirely in space, without any kind of personal or visual interaction between the two sides; no Human or Vulcan saw a Romulan until 2266, long after the war was ended, when a Romulan warbird penetrated the Neutral Zone to test Federation defences.
