The two young men raced down the stairs and out the door, stopping as they reached the front yard and slowing to a normal walk.
“Bet she digs me,” Todd taunted, smiling mischievously and looking and Jon as if to say, ‘And just try to stop it’.
Jon chuckled, “I bet not.”
“No cheating.” Todd replied, this time seriously. “Not like that time at the mall, that wasn’t funny.”
Jon laughed harder, “Are you kidding, the way she ran? It was great! Admit it, making you look like Frankenstein was a genius idea.”
Todd shook his head, “No Jon, really. Let’s be serious this time.”
“Alright,” Jon nodded as the two rounded the fence and turned up the next driveway. They made their way up to the door and knocked, each looking around disinterestedly as they saw her coming to the door, her miniskirt holding tight to her perfectly formed legs.
She opened the door, bending just enough to tease them with a slight view down her low cut shirt. “Hey guys, can I help you?” she asked, looking them over.
“Nah, we just wanted to drop by and ask if you needed a couple of nice guys to show you around the local scenery.” Jon replied.
“Yeah, you know, the diners, the theaters,” Todd continued.
“Maybe the back-roads,” Jon finished.
She smiled at them and shook her head, “No thanks guys, but I think I can find my way around. Plus, I don’t think my boyfriend back home would like me getting shown around by a couple guys.”
She made as if to shut the door but Todd caught it with his hand, “Really, what if it was just one of us?”
“Yes, really, sorry.” She smiled again, nervously, “Now if you don’t mind.” She pushed the door shut.
The two turned and walked back down the driveway.
“She wants me,” Todd laughed.
