Speculative Vision has Blogs!

Permanent Linkby The Master on Tue Aug 19, 2008 2:05 pm

Speculative Vision is very pleased to provide blogs for its members. We deeply regret that our old blogs could not be converted to our new forum software and thank you for your understanding. We hope that you will love the new blogs as much as you did the old blogs!

Please note that in order to cut down on spam posting we do not automatically enable blogs for every account. If you already had a blog from the old forums you have automatically been given one of our new blogs.

To obtain a blog:
  • You must have any rank higher than "Just Registered" to have a blog.
  • Access the User Control Panel.
  • Select the "Usergroups" tab.
  • Select the "Bloggers" group by clicking the check box to the right of it.
  • At the bottom be sure "Join Selected" is selected in the drop down, and click submit.
  • Your blog request will be sent to The Master who will enable it as soon as possible.

Once you have a blog you can manage its settings via the User Control Panel by selecting the Blog tab. Settings include the ability to select your template and control who can access and/or comment your blog.

Please note that blogs are very sparingly moderated! Speculative Vision believes that blogs should allow the blogger the opportunity to express their views in the way they deem best. Therefore, we only monitor blogs for significant breaches of our site rules, such as sexually pornographic content or the clear abuse of blogs as a spamming device. The content of any blog is, of course, the opinion of the blog owner only, not Speculative Vision. Blog owners are free to control access to their blogs in any way allowed by our forum software's settings, including deletion of comments as they see fit. However, please note that no settings allow you to conceal anything posted anywhere on this site from the site admin (The Master). The Master will be the sole and final determinant of what constitutes a violation of site policy in blogs as well as the consequence for that violation.
