Book Covers.
Haven't posted here in ages, hello everyone. Anyway, I've been curious. Has an author ever design his own book cover? And if not, does anyone know if it's possible to do so? I am an illustrator as well as a writer, and I don't trust a visual representation of my work in the hands of anyone but mysel...

You have to look at your book as something individual. Despite it being a part of a series, it still needs to be complete on its own as well; no one likes a cliffhanger, especially with novels because it takes a long time for the next installment to be written. So if the book can't stand alone despi...

its quite controversial. Because, you know, controversial never sells. Besides how can you simply state that it's controversial in of itself? It's not yet written, not yet published, and not yet had the opportunity to cause deep rifts in public opinion by offending half of the population and...

Well, the term "self publishing", expecially with the company I am looking at, will really throw you off. I'm not actually doing much aside from writing the book, I just pay them a fee for a package and the book starts going through the process. Their editors are more grammatical than content editor...

It's good to see you around, FZ . Is this work of yours going to be in the Fantasy genre? If you don't mind me asking, why have you decided to self-publish? Fantasy genre, yes. But with a lot of futuristic elements. As for self-publishing, I think its the current company I found that really drew me...

My epic shall be a novel.
Yeah I guess none of you will be really "suprised" at me making that statement, but if any of you remember me you would know I've been spending a long time trying to find out which direction to take this story in. I wanted it to be an RPG for the longest time, but now I think I've settled on a novel...

Universal Story Outline
Alright, I have this epic I've been working on for over 3 years now, and I still can't decide which format I want to present it in; and when it really comes down to it, I'm going to present it in the form that I have a chance to present it in. I'll take whatever comes my way at this point. So with t...

I really want to RP again, but... I'm not in the mood for fantasy. I want sci-fi. So, what say you all about starting a sci-fi RP with me similar to Lycoria? I had one running on my other forum called "The Omniverse Chronicles" for a while, and I would like to bring it here. Note it isn't hard sci-f...

Looking at the movie, with the exception of Christopher's side of the story, every single character is either female or feminine. Pyramid Head, on the other hand, is the only character who is overtly masculine. On another note he is the only monster in the movie who is not cought up in his own suffe...
