Re: An idea for a new kind of Collaborative Story

Rssentially the same, yes, but I figure that since it'd be an ongoing thing it;d allow a little more freedom of choice for the reader. And part of the reason I came up with it was as a personal project to get me back into writing. I figure it'd keep me motivated to write. (I've been rather lazy rece...

Re: An idea for a new kind of Collaborative Story

Well while I'm waiting on people to take interest I'll get to work on the structure. I figure the first call of business in any case would be to figure out who our protagonist will be. Then depending on that I'll come up with a story that suits them. For the sake of making things easier on myself I'...

Re: An idea for a new kind of Collaborative Story

Yeah, the number of participants would be the issue I think. I'm not sure how many peopl frequent this section of the forums though. I reckon we'd need a handful (5+) to make it worthwhile.

An idea for a new kind of Collaborative Story

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I last posted on the forums in any real capacity. But I've recently been mulling over an idea that struck me as perfect for Speculative Vision. I'm sure you all remember those 'Create your own adventure' books from when you were kids. I know I was a big fan of t...

Re: The Threads Of Fate

Well to be honest I think we're dead in the water here unfortunately as no one has posted in a while. :( Oh well.

Glad to hear about the book though. How is distribution and the like coming along?

Re: The Threads of Fate

Nero looked up at the group as they stood over him in concern. He couldn't bring himself to verbalise his thoughts, he could barly describe them to himself. He shrugged off Arden's hands as the man hlped him to the river. A bitter frown on his face he stalked off in the direction the group was heade...

Re: The Threads of Fate

Through the night Nero had tended to the wounded and ill. The experience had drained him and several times he had nearly collapsed. All around him he saw only misery and suffering. Staunching the wounded chest of one soldier, he called for help as the other missionaries hurried around him in chaos. ...

Re: The Threads of Fate

Nero wandered the camp for some time before coming to the large, central tent. A long queue of people stretched as far as the eye could see. Poor, wretched looking souls with tattered and dirty clothes, whatever belongings they could muster carried in sacks beside them and on their backs. There was ...

Re: The Threads of Fate

After less than a day the travellers found themselves at the camps of Lycoria's border. Nero had walked at the head of the group, lost in silent contemplation. The events of the past few days had been a blur to him. A terrifying nightmare, and one he knew he had yet to wake from. There was much left...

Re: The Threads of Fate

Nero could only stand silently. That boy... had he even known? Did he even realise what was happening even at the very end? The thought made Nero sick and he had to turn away from the sight of the child's body, lifeless in the lake. "We're almost there." He announced. "Only a days wal...

Re: The Threads of Fate

With their leader dead the lycan's curse faded. The twisted, grotesquely muscled bodies matted with bloody fur gave way to the soft flesh of human form and the villagers collapsed to the floor, unconscious. Nero dashed to the lakeside with the others. Wolf was breathing heavily, his wounds had taken...

Re: The Threads of Fate

Wolfpushed back against the towering beast and raised his huge blade into the air with one hand, bringing the pommel down on the lycan's head. The creature's fur burst into flame from Ladarious' attack and it stubmled back, releasing Wolf's arm from its maw. Blood gushed from its snout as the pommel...
