Re: Stargate Universe. The new SG series.

I am loving SGU. It's the sci-fi I have been waiting for probably since B5. I think most of the episodes are B+ to A+ with just 2 and a half out of 17 that didn't match the quality of the rest. IMO SG-1,SGA, SGU go from Good-Better-Best. Loving the realism, great acting, dialog, sense of wonder and ...

Pro-alternative-medicine means that it will be available through the health care system. Herbal remedies have advantages and disadvantages just as drugs do, but they are natural at least. They have been used for many thousands of years. I see no reason to be afraid. me: the main difference between ...

hey all long time no post. Just wanted to comply with Neuro's request on what Americans think about RP. I am a pro-science critical thinking and believe in compelling evidence for things. I think RP stands in opposition of my views. For that and other reasons I would never support his type. *Ron Pau...

hmmm. I guess I can get onboard with good vs. evil but not so much Devil vs. Jesus. You got me speaking before I could really back up what I said. I was just thinking about how as a child I believed in the whole Christian Bible story and something like the Exorcist terrified me but now, not so much ...

My two favs recently are John Varley and John Meaney. Varley has been around a while. Lots of good stuff: I’m not familiar with William Gibson but it looks like he does some cloak and dagger stuff. I can give you a one sentence synopsis of Varley’s recent stuff to see if anything sparks your fancy. ...

Ghost Rider is one of those comics that I grew out of. Other like X-men & Batman still had something to offer as I grew older and writing improved. There may be good G. Rider comics but I just can’t get past the premise. It’s so targeted to the 10 year old boy demographic. Also since I became an ath...

Tiganna remains THE book I suggest THE most for people to read. For people that read tolkein but think most of the genre is fluff I tell them to read Tiganna. If people don't want to read 12 volume epics and are looking for the best one-off, I suggest Tiganna. This book captivated me in a way no oth...

actually I hadn't either. I know he was in the comic books but I haven't read any really since the 90s. I just get a big satisfaction when guys think they're untouchable and then they end up getting tied to a search light. I've loved every movie where I've seen that happen.

I think ScareCrow and Joker are plenty of Villians for the next movie. Plus maybe some non-costumed corrupt forces. In the comics that I read I think Two Face was my fav. especially when they show BOTH sides of his personallity. I think in Batman Forever they didn't do that really. I like seeing the...
