New home for Serinity.

Okay, I've decided NOT to try and sell my silliness. So, after a bit of work and a few well chosen words of desperation, I've set up a website for her. As I complete each book I'll upload it there. For those that suffered through my agony, thank you. Enjoy. http://silver-mage-mod-2.tripod.com/Serini...

Part Number 1326dot1

The war of the robots has come and gone. For years humanity fought ever smarter machines that managed to not only defeat their weapons, the machines managed to create more powerful weapons to use against people. Simple Gatling guns were replaced with more advanced selective rounds of devastating pow...

Iris and the Silver Mage 1

Chapter 1 Silver-maple leaves whisper excitedly in the morning breeze, rustling with joy at the sight of mother and daughter foraging beneath over reaching oak branches laden by pale green acorns with tan caps. Deeper in the forest, ancient hemlock trees wait patiently for their turn to present this...

An old idea redone.

Iris and the Silver Mage Prolog After three thousand years the war between the gods stagnates into a stalemate. The shifting vagaries of war leave the mortal survivors huddle in their hovels, trembling at the thought of the gods renewing their attacks. Vast farmlands that once provided plentiful har...

Re: And now, the vote.

//chuckling\\ If I call it market research then I suppose I can post my silliness online in some sort of format. The only problem I have with that is tracking the downloads. Perhaps a separate page with a counter? It'll take some thought for this old brain to come up with something. It's a good idea...

Re: And now, the vote.

Perhaps you're right. However, the question is still a valid one. Like any public offering, feedback is needed to gauge the product being offered. The number of stories sold, or even read, has a direct bearing on the writer's ego, which in turn fuels the writing itself. As to the editor, yes, I'll n...

And now, the vote.

Okay, I've posted the first half of my silliness ( The First Book of Serinity, part one ). Since I've not had many comments on it I can draw one of two conclusions. 1) It sucks and no one wants to say so. 2) It was good enough to pass the time. The question that remains is, "Was it good enough that ...

A Hard Lesson to Learn

“We did it to ourselves,” mutters the button pusher for the copy machine. “We thought we were so smart.” “How do you figure that,” asks the button pusher for the coffee machine. “Well, it all started when some egghead got the bright idea of direct communication from brain to mechanical hand.” There’...

Merry Christmas: Chapter 24 of Serinity, end of 1st part

After weeks of tormenting the last Afridale, at the cost of three hundred thirty one brave elfin warriors and half a hundred Dragons, the beast is lead into the trap. Constant harassment along the way does nothing to improve the Afridale’s temper. Farms along the path to the volcano have been stripp...

Chapter 23, 1st Book of Serinity

“Hello dear,” Granash comments as she appears in her granddaughter’s bedroom. Accompanied by the smell of rotting flesh and sulphur the Daemon Queen steps out of a large cloud of gray mottled smoke. Long wisps of smoke trail after her as she moves closer to where Serinity lays sleeping. Before she c...

Chapter 22, 1st Book of Serinity

In the obsidian castle, chilly wind’s whisper secretes to one another as they play tag around black glass battlements. Far below, on time worn flagstones, slaves hustle about doing their master’s bidding. Snug in his casting room, where summoning circles and pentagrams’ stand idle, Sorcerer Darkling...

Chapter 21, 1st Book of Serinity

Three floors above the great hall of Orc’s Home central keep; Shadow gnaws on the hindquarter of a freshly butchered deer. With a delicate tongue, she licks blood drops from her furry lips, and, as she does so, she watches her companion. “Daddy,” laughs Serinity, “I’ve been too big for you to toss i...
