Doesn't George RR Martin's current series do this as well? He's got at least 10 "main" characters that he keeps switching back and forth between.

I think it's effective and a fine device to use as long each character is distinct.

Good luck to you!

Well RHF did the lion's share of the work on this critique. I would add that the words "enclosed confines" seemed redundant and I stumbled on them. I echo the concerns about stock characters, but in the same breath will say I like reading stories with a Tolkien influence. Please keep this...

Re: Chapter 4-Thaia Queen... part 2

Thaia rounded the corner and entered the hallway that lead to the massive old mirror. As if hitting a wall, her second thoughts screamed at her! Slowing she tried to rationalize her fears. Anytime she had a dream about that mirror it had been a nightmare! Thaia stopped just before she entered the ha...

WOW. I have no critique to offer other than....WOW. And post the rest of the story!

It was gripping immediately, the imagery was perfect balanced, I don't know what else to say, except I that I really, really liked this.

Cheers!

I liked this, though I stumbled over a few words. The imagery is so rich I found myself reading lines over again to catch it all. Very nicely done.

The first one was excellent, it really had that "pop" moment. Great job, keep them coming.
