Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic

Anyone have any recommendations for post-apocalypse or apocalyptic novels? I specifically enjoy any post-nuclear stories.

Re: Apocalyptic story segment

Well thank you very much! I was trying to convey that Dan killed kilgore because they could not have saved him anyway. That he killed him because no one was a doctor and Kilgore's long death might have prevented them from leaving at all. I will try and make this more clear in my edits. Thanks for re...

Apocalyptic story segment

It was time to go. The open spot in the dome overhead looked even too small for the blades of the helicopter. It might even have to slam through some of the foliage up above, Charlie thought. Re: Military day-to-day life

first of all thank you for your help. I wanted the main character to be a private in the army just starting out. He has no special skills and lives on base. The base would have a helicopter pad. How small could I theoretically make the base if it would have room for a helicopter, or need one? Thanks...

Military day-to-day life

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good books that painted a good picture of life in the military. I am planning a book where the first half of the story takes place in a military base in peace time. I would have started writing this already but I am really not sure what day-to-day activit...

Hello there!

Hi y'all. I hail from a small town in rural Vermont. My aim is to bring several post-apocalypse book ideas to life. I have difficulty with bridging gaps between large plot-points in the story, and receiving criticism. Not that I react defensively. I just get really discouraged. I was hoping to use t...
