Well, if you own photoshop there are literally thousands of free tutorials available on the net to teach you everything there is to know about the program. I started this particular piece with a "How to make a planet" tutorial and a "How to make an eclipse" tutorial & the res...

Red Dawn

I made this some time ago in Photoshop & just today I thought maybe you people here might be interested. Every thing is made from scratch by me except the dunes. They come from a desert photo. Kind of reminds me of a 1950's Sci-Fi novel cover. http://members.optusnet.com.au/clarry/RedDawn.jpg

Yeah, that movie sounds hideous, but I can assure you it has nothing in common the the BBC series apart from the title.

Hmm, 10 hours a no guesses, maybe time for a second quote. "When a child asks you something, answer him, for goodness' sake. But don't make a production of it. Children are children, but they can spot an evasion quicker than adults, and evasion simply muddles 'em." A classic book & mov...

Both those quotes are from the movie "UHF" If I'm correct & if I've understood this thread I should give you a movie quote to guess, so here goes. "Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin ++ ++++ + +++++++++++" The crossed out section is p...

No relation to the vampire chick in the States that I know of. Umm, what do I like about it? Well it's good believable acting for one, the kind the Pomms do so well. The story line is intriguing. The vampires are modern day creature that don't necessarily want to kill all humans, rather they need th...

Ultraviolet

My wife & I have been watching "Ultraviolet". It's a British vampire mini series that I hadn't heard about until a friend lent us the DVD's. It's bloody brilliant. If you get the chance, watch it, you won't be disappointed. Unfortunately they only made 6 episodes. We've seen 3 so far a...

Lots of good books listed in this thread. Some I agree with, others I'm yet to read. Here are some of my favourites so far. To Kill a Mockingbird-Harper Lee (is this the best book ever, maybe) Cold Mountain-Charles Fraser (beautifully written) Year of Wonders-Geraldine Brooks (great story) The Fore...

Ok, well don't be put off, but it's about a conceited toy china doll rabbit and how it learned about love. I know it sounds odd, but just trust me, this story is magnificent. I also forgot to mention that it's beautifully illustrated.
