Cry for help

Oh! How true it is! I desperately need loving, else my cold, black soul will slip into oblivion.

I'm doing well though. Long story, but well. I won't write a novel here, but things have been trying.

The prodigal son

I have returned yet again. I decided to resurrect this old thread, rather than start a new one. Go on, y'all. You may all shower me with love and affection now. I seem to be making it a habit of leaving for long periods of time and returning for a flurry of posts.

Exploring a character

I skip back and forth through a story all the time. Mostly I do it to get to know a character better. I'll write a short story or chapter about one of the characters going through a certain type of situation so I know what kind of history the character has motivating their decisions. I totally see t...

Practice makes perfect

Hello to you, too! Before I begin, I believe in fair warning. I hate sugarcoating and I believe that in order to help someone become better, complete honesty is needed. I don't say anything to be mean or to discourage you. The fact that I'm critiquing your work is my way of saying that there's poten...

Re: Magic?

It all depends on how you define magic. It you're talking about throwing fireballs and calling down lightning, I would say that such should be left out of pure vampire stories. (If you decided to include vampires in more traditional fantasy, this could change.) If you're talking about supernatural p...

A simple yarn

Jack Daniels? No thank you. I'd go for a chocolate milk though. 8) *sits down at the table, staring contemplatively at his cup.* Oh, I know what I'm missing! A straw. Could someone get me a straw? *upon receiving straw, blows a few bubbles in his drink* A tale indeed. Life has been busy. From spendi...

Nearly impossible

A brief synopsis of these books is a very difficult thing but I'll give it a shot. The books follow the story of dozens upon dozens of characters, empires, gods, worlds and periods of history. It chronicles the struggles of a conflict spanning hundreds of thousands of years. If you're looking for an...

Willing, but forgetful

I think that I just might give this a try. If nothing else, it will spice up my posts a little. The only problem I can think of is that I'm very forgetful and will likely stop within a day or two.
