Language Invention for Writers

Postby starweaver » Thu Jan 22, 2009 8:59 am

I've created a short tutorial, with links to some helpful software tools, on inventing names and languages for fantasy or science fiction. There are other language invention resources on the net, but I think mine is the first to recognize that most fiction writers are not language hobbyists, and may want to limit the investment of time and effort they put into this aspect of world-building. I think my suggestions give good results, even for non-experts who don't have a lot of time for language invention.

Comments are most welcome.

Looks cool but I believe I will look at it when I have not been up all night. I may have too use that some day.:thumright:
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.
