I'm responding to Havoc's PM by Ariel's suggestion.

I am a sketch artist and was an exceptionally good one until I virtually stopped cold three years ago. The only thing I've done sense was a couple sloppy things for Lycoria, which were not so good. But it is an interesting idea you have here and I would be curious to see how it turns out. I have the time and the resources to do this, and the skill, I only might lack the motivation and patience required. But I think I'd like to contribute in some way at least. Go ahead and add me to the list of artists.

P.S. Another artist here is Eleika. She did the new version of the Lycoria map for me. She also does an online comic strip.

Considering this list will continue to grow slowly, I'd like to start the discussion on how we're going to organise this exactly. Should it have it's own forum? How will the pictures be uploaded and posted? Or most radically of all, a new part on the site? Speak, and you shall have spoken....

I'm not the best of artists, personally, but I can draw maps. Example: the Lycoria map, which I re-did for Neurolanis. I also did less-detailed ones for my own world.

At the moment, I'm working with a few non-SV artists for my writing. One is going to illustrate a short-story collection that I hope to print this summer, and another hopes to take over the artwork for Kendara. I spend quite a bit of time around other artist-artists in a certain IRC chatroom, though.

But I can and do draw maps.

As for yours truly, I am truly not yours and haven't a freehand artistic talent, but I would like to see how my characters would look through another's eyes, so please add me to the writers' list.

On second thought, I could do character sketches and simple poses. I don't/can't promise much, but add me to the list of sketchers as a possibility.

@Aldan: being mentioned with the writers means you'll post background stories when an artist needs one for a picture he/she recently made. If you just want to profit from artists work, you needn't to be on any list.

How do we decide who does whose? We don't wanna cause hard feelings..

Good questions. Quoting an earlier post of mine:

The idea is there, so is the will, now it's time to work out the details. We could immediately begin with the exchange, there's no real reason to delay this, though we might want to hold on long enough for some guidelines to be set. As for who does who's. I'd say get to choose themselves, giving the possibility that two artists decided to render the same character, but two different versions.
