Heh... very interesting. I'm sure the whole cut/paste procedure was headed up by the Microsoft Empire. :D

This sounds like a good script. Lord knows Hollywood needs lots of help as indicated by the crap that the corporate execs have been shoveling for the past few years.

How close are you to finishing up your script?

not that close. I've re-written it twice so on my third cycle I'm just at the beginning. Things COULD change by the time I'm done, but I don't know.

You're right, hollywood needs to stop using C Movies and marketing them as A movies. The only two good movies I saw in the past three years were Serenity and The Brothers Grimm
Assasin: "You know what your sin is?"
Malcolm Reynolds: "Hell, I'm a fan of all seven, but right now I'd have to go with wrath."

Well, there have been some script formats that have proven to work time and time again through the decades. When Hollywood needs a safe bet and a sure hit to rake in some quick cash they dig out one of these formats and quickly make a movie based on it.

For a simple example, Hollywood tends to take a simple romance story format (which we have all seen used repeatedly) and simply recycles plot elements, setting, and characters. The overall story however remains the same, yet people continue to see such movies because such formats do indeed work. Anything original that comes out of Hollywood is usually passed along to half-wit writers and directors with visions of grandeur. 'Tis sad times to see Hollywood crumble.
