I sort of have a problem with just posting things as you write it. I know my first drafts are never that good and it seems like you aren't taking any effort make guard your reader's time and effort.

That said the whole thing sounds like a mid-80s hard sci-fi novel. It doesn't sound like anything new or different.

I read the first section or two before I started skimming and I don't know what you're story's about. It seems to just be a travelouge about this guy wandering around in space. He doesn't seem to care too much about his only crew member dying. This woman seems to invite herself on board out of pure lust and predictably there is "Sexual tension."

Also, if its near future why does everyone have made up names? John is as common a name today as it was 200 years ago.
I run a blog covering publishing and writing with a huge slant toward Fantasy and Sci Fi.

Fair enough Scriven. I see others are reading these posts ... But I wont make any other posts here unless I get some positive feedback.

In fact, since I didn't get but one positive reply. (And no constructive criticism at all from you, just bashing.) I can only assume that this is not the right forum for me. So, I have deleted my posts.

Have a nice day. :D
