Where Dragons Fly

Post by SFNovelwriter »

Beyond the clouds,
Beyond the rain,
High within the midnight sky,
Is the place where Dragons fly,

Most don't believe,
Could never concieve,
Except in dreams,
Or drug induced scenes,
Of a place where Dragons fly,

On a dew covered flower,
Sits a fairy, of power,
That few could ever see,
Because they fail to belive,
In a place where Dragons fly,

But what of you,
When staring at clouds,
Do you let your mind wander,
To the blue younder,
To that place,
That inner space,
Where Dragons fly.
Fairy's and Dragons are real, if you believe.

Nice attempt. :) Poetry is hard to write and usually hard to comment on. Too vague to turn me on or off, to be honest.

I like it. It is hard to critque poetry, so I usually don't try. Punctuation, for example- is it incorrect, or is it poetic license.

I think the poem is about the magical place called Imagination.

Agreed! Imagination itself should never be critized! :)

Very nice and inovative. I agree with Bmat and Neuro.
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.

I just sat down in 5 minutes and spun that out. My weak point is my grammar of that there is not doubt. This was just a ditty for fun, I hope you enjoy it. Next one I'll try a little harder on the grammar and such.
Fairy's and Dragons are real, if you believe.
