My Time Again

Post by Vivacia »

My time again

I’d shy away from girly girls and say just what I mean
I’d choose the ones unpopular to be in my gym team
I wouldn’t hide the things I loved like reading and time alone
I’d not spend all those teenage hours glued to my pink phone
I’d date Peter Farlen because I loved the way he dressed
All Gothic eyes and leather, that guy was just the best
I wouldn’t do the acting, just so I’d fit in
I’d wear the clothes I wanted and not starve myself so thin
I’d write my ‘lame ass poetry’ just to spite those perky others
I promise not to laugh too hard, that they were teenage mothers
I’d do the things I wanted and pay far less attention
To those that made my teenage years just to fake to mention

Very well written, great job! You have captured the life of an individual that does there own thing, and danced to their own tune. Not lame ass poetry to me :D
Fairy's and Dragons are real, if you believe.

You should not laugh at teenage mothers anyway you look at it. They are in for a long, tiresome, and possibly lonely road. That line hit close to a very close friend sorry if I sounded offensive.

Other then that I applaud you on your work and individuality very nice poem.
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.
