I Am

Post by InvisibleRabbit »

I know that I am posting a lot of poems, one right after the other, but I have another website that has them on there, just nobody reads them.

I'm sorry for the things I've done.
I'm sorry for what I've become.
I'm sorry for never really trying.
I'm sorry for all your prying
I'm sorry for what you see
I'm sorry that I have to be me
Never looking forward
Always looking behind
I underestimate my mind
Just look at the whites of my eyes
Always streaked with red
Because the veins in my head
Death is only as welcome as life
My life, seems like just a trip
My skin just tears, rips
I'm sorry for looking like I love you
I'm sorry for hating you
I'm sorry for trying to be there for you
I'm sorry for how I am
I'm sorry for your anger

Interesting poem. I liked it mainly for the emotion portrayed in it.
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.

-Walt Whitman-
