Unreal

Post by Raesd »

~Is this one better?~

Northern lights on shallow water
Reflecting back up upon the night sky
Iridescent colors enough
To catch a wayfarer’s sight
Nature’s beauty marked
Ten-fold

An artist’s canvas teeming
With life both given and yet to be
Created
Relaying emotions and words
That remain unspoken

The written word shared
Flourished imagery styled
To bring people closer together
And make that which was unseen
Burn brighter than the sun

A young girl sways on the stage
Giving those who look on
Her beauty and her grace
Flawless as she passes her wisdom
Of all that she moves for

The young boy plays his music
Fingers flying along the strings
Moving his audience to tears
Sad notes drift through the air
And for a moment
We understand

What is that hidden thing
That makes our world so
Unreal?

:D Very nice and I believe it portrays a feeling that everyone in this world has forgotten.
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.

-Walt Whitman-

Thanks you all so much! I agree...feelings like this are lost on the world...it's time we found them again

It's great if you're 5 year old, thinking like a 50 year old.

And what is wrong with thinking like a five year old sometimes? Not that I agree with the assessment, but I believe that we would learn something by looking through the eyes of children. They do not have so much cynicsm and bitterness, allowing them to more accuartely see the world and it's magic.

Beautifully done Raesd, it is to me, a good look at beauty. Look forward to more!

I fail to see the point of even posting this- "It's great if you're 5 year old, thinking like a 50 year old." So I have no response

And thank you Monara ^^ I have others if you would like me to post them

I liked it, too. And I also don't get the point of the 5 year old thinking like 50 year old comment.

Something that I found distracting in the poem were the words "up upon".
