Love

Postby Ariel » Thu Apr 05, 2007 6:03 pm

Emotions deep within
each have their own special place in life,
each have their own seperate identity,
like seasons,
love being the most powerful of all,
that which life is built upon.

I'm wondering if you didn't have a particular season in mind when you were writing this, and if you were trying to imply the season or not. To me, each season is essential to life, though Spring is the one that most people seem to associate with life's rebirth.

Actually I didn't have a particular season in mind when I wrote this. I was just focussing on the fact that both emotions and seasons have their different aspects.

I agree, love is the cushion and the glue and most importantly the cleanser of men's souls. Good poem Ray.

Very nice Ariel I am sorry I have not read it sooner.
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.

My love, I have tried with all my being
to grasp a form comparable to thine own,
but nothing seems worthy;

I know now why Shakespeare could not
compare his love to a summer’s day.
It would be a crime to denounce the beauty
of such a creature as thee,
to simply cast away the precision
God had placed in forging you.

Each facet of your being
whether it physical or spiritual
is an ensnarement
from which there is no release.
But I do not wish release.
I wish to stay entrapped forever.
With you for all eternity.
Our hearts, always as one
