Torpor

Postby nightlock » Wed Mar 06, 2013 6:54 am

Once Removed.
Fading in, Fading out.
Uncertainty, times of doubt.
Off the beat.

Twice Removed.
Fragmented, Incomplete.
Incoherent, Clarity in Retreat.
To dream.

Thrice Removed.
Back to front, Lost the Theme.
Lost Control, Ritual Unseen
Lethargic

All Removed.
No More Soul, Sleep in Public
Unconscious, Wistfully Lithic.
Lights out.

@idigina
I actually nearly fell asleep writing this one

That yawn was probably one of the best compliments I've ever had. Inspiration for Torpor came from before the Apnea diagnosis; a time in which my sleep deprivation was so bad I was falling asleep at 9 in the morning, with a can of red bull in my hand, Death Metal at full volume blaring in my ears after 10 hours of sleep.

On occasion. Those masks really suck to sleep in so in short order the cure becomes as bad as the desease. I have one beside the bed ready to use when I begin to notice the negative effects of sleep deprivation. Luckily I've become fairly resilient so I don't use the mask often. Maybe a few nights a month.

OK, that doesn't sound too bad then. I've seen them in use only on TV and they looked very uncomfortable.
