ok you guys asked for it...

The roses burn and wilt and freeze,
The leaves cling to the tired breeze,
These melancholy waves of sand,
Were foretold by lines in sky and hand,
And through the hazy world of frost,
Dies a flower, petals lost,
To scornful eye of manticore,
Cast upon the forest floor,
Where amidst the freezing midnight rain,
Come the stars to fall again.

a short little poem with no real point, one of my favorites.

Warm and fuzzy? I thought it would be otherwise with all this talk of freezing and frost.

I loved the poem. Do please post more.
