Hmmm...depends on the amount of devestation. If we kick their butts and the planet is still standing and in liveable condition, we continue to exist. If they kick our butts, game over. :?

Truth. Even if win we will still be left with a broken world. But if we're patient, we can wait till the aliens get all humanitarian (or is it alientarian?) and stuff and sue them back to the stone age. Humanity gets the last laugh after all.

Yeah, I get the feeling that in the future, humans will be known as the best lawyers in the galaxy. Thus all aliens will hate us until they need our help. WOAL

That's funny Neoscribe! Sounds like an idea for a novel.

Funny you should mention that, Neurolanis. A running gag in a story I'm developing is that a lawyer from an average Earth nation is 10 times better at navigating the judicial system than any lawyer from a Galaxy Federation planet (another source of annoyance between the two).

Indeed, if the galaxy was a courtroom, Earth would easily takes its rightful place as first among planets.

It is only a natural process when you think about all the teenagers who insist that they will be lawyers (thank God I'm not one of them!) when they graduate. Of course, a lot of them will be disillusioned when they find out that its not all about being payed to bicker with some other guy, but I think alot of them will keep at if only for the belief that they will be payed well. The aliens will not stand a chance and will be kicked out of court for stupidity (Can they do that?).

I think if I was a judge I could.

Yes, please do so. This info is critical to the story I mentioned earlier.
