What are Your Plans for December 2012?

Postby Boikat » Sun Apr 13, 2008 11:15 am

According to the Mayan calender, the world ends one cycle, and begins another. Some interpret this to mean "the end of the world", or at the very least, the end of all civilization as we know it.

Sounds like a good excuse for a party, to me, whether anything happens or not.

Since there are too many possibilities, a poll probably would not work, so this is an essay test... :)

If you knew the world was going to end and decided to throw a party instead of hiding in your basement or joining in with the looting and mayhem, where would you throw your "The End Of The World Party" party?

I think I'd like to have the party on a small tropical island.

(I didn't say it had to be a long essay! :) )

Heaven

Well according to some before the end of world christians will be taken to Heaven.

Of course some would call it the End of the Age.

And would point out that only the chosen would be taken there.

On the other hand if I still here, well?

A Zoo, maybe.

Dude...I don't even know what I'm having for dinner yet and you want to know what I'm doing in 2012?

As far as a party goes, I'd be a guest not the host. If the world's gonna end I'm sure as heck not going to be the one worrying if there's enough chips and beer.

Die like you live.

FTBS. Start at sLager in Heidelberg and pub crawl until the end comes.

Big Wheels optional.
I'm going to die the way I've lived...poor, screaming, and naked.

From the different forums that I go to, some people don't believe it is the end, but rather a new beginning, a change for the better. In any case, we can have a party. :flower:

End of the world? Not likely. :P I wouldn't call 2012 a thief in the night exactly, if you know what I mean.

But we can still party, of course. Wouldn't want to miss a chance.

I have also read this, however I have also read that the new beginning will only come after the destruction, When the Lord retruns.

Will there be destruction?

According to the article "The Real Doomsday", there willl be.

It's to do with astronomy.

There will be extreme solar activity, and a Galactic Alignment.

December? I got no time for end of the world stuff. I have to buy Christmas presents, and get Christmas presents! Then there's New Years, how can I fit End of Day parties into my schedule of New Years Parties? Then there's eating, and working, and walking the dog, then school... Seriously, those Mayans should be more considerate to other people's schedules.
The flower shop gig wasn't enough to pay for my videogames.

The date is actually December 21, so it is just before Christmas, not right on New Years. A party before all the other parties.

Besides if things truly take a turn for the worst, you won't have to buy Christmas presents, or go to New Years Parties.
