*waves hands* DDR!

I love DDR...it's like the best game EVER!! WHOOO!

Okay, enough of that silliness. But really, I do love DDR, and I've got MAX something, and The green packaged one. I think it's ultimate or something...Not sure.

I play on standard/heavy and sadly, know no trick moves. Though I'm trying to learn some on Spin the Disk. A friend of mine played against me, and he did tricks. And it made me sad.

I think that the problem, SJ, is that you're a FORUM addict and not a DDR addict. If you were to go home every day and play it and try new things for several hours EACH day, you'd probably start being able to break through and come up with all the "trick moves". Of course, we'd miss you here, but the point that I'm making is that you needn't be sad if you don't wish to put forth the stupendous efforts to learn how to really play Dance Dance Revolution. Instead, next time your friend comes over, you can say that you've been playing for awhile after a short time, then watch him/her for awhile until you've figured his/her moves out. Then, the NEXT time....

Next time I stop by that part of my state, I'll drop in on him and we'll play DDR.

Actually, I didn't know trick moves existed until we played at an arcade during Summer Camp. So I watched him, and I remember what he did--namely spin around on the pad, and turn his back to the monitor. I've tried it a couple of times, but I'm a little too scared to stop looking at the arrows.

Oh, and Aldan? Last year's research paper was on DDR. Maybe I'm both?

DDR's awesome. But, ALAS, I have only played it once... and lost. I find much amusement, and more conveniently so, with FFR.

FFR = Flash Flash Revolution. It's an online game that uses the arrow keys on you keyboard for a DDR-styled game.

And the communist party supporters say that communism is so great... look at the results there in East Germany!
