The Arrogant Worms have a song about THAT too!

I love A.P. U.S. History:

Come back proud canadian's,
To before you had TV.
No hockey night in canada,
there was no CBC.

In 1812 madison was mad,
He was the president you know.
Well he thought he'd tell the british where they ought to go.
He thought he'd invade canada,
He thought that he was tough.
Instead we went to washington,
And burned down all his stuff.

And the white house burned, burned, burned.
And we're the ones that did it,
It burned, burned, burned.
While the president ran and cried,
It burned, burned, burned.
And things were very historical,
And the Americans ran and cried like a bunch of little babies WaWaWa
In the war of 1812.

Those hilbilies from kuntucky,
Dressed in green and red.
Left home to fight in canada,
But they returned home dead.
It's the only war the yankies lost except for veitnam.
And also the alomo and the bay of ham.
The looser was america,
The winner was ourselfs.
So join right in and glout about the war of 1812.

And the white house burned, burned, burned.
And we're the ones that did it,
It burned, burned, burned.
While the president ran and cried,
It burned, burned, burned.
And things were very historical,
And the Americans ran and cried like a bunch of little babies WaWaWa
In the war of 1812.

In 1812 we were just sitting around,
Minding our own business,
Putting crops into the ground.
We heard the soilders coming,
And we didn't like that sound.
So we took a boat to washington and burned it to the ground.

Oh we fired our guns but the yankies kept on a coming,
There wasn't quite as many as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and the yankies started running,
Down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.
They ran through the snow,
And they ran through the forest,
They ran through the bushes where the beavers wouldn't go,
They ran so fast they forgot to take they're culture,
Back to america, and gulf and mexico.

So if you go to washington,
It's building clean and nice,
Bring a pack of matches,
And we'll burn the white house twice.

And the white house burned, burned, burned,
But the americans wont admit it.
It burned, burned, burned...
It burned and burned and burned
It burned, burned, burned
I bet that made them mad.
And the Americans ran and cried like a bunch of little babies WaWaWa
In the war of 1812.

I don't know... I'm not sure if I should trust you. I think I'll play it safe a vote for Squirrel.

One of the problems that your film industry is having, as well as many of your other industries, is Taxes. No, not Texas. Taxes. When people can make as good, if not better films in the US and not have to pay the very large amounts to the Canadian gubberment, then they most likely will. In the US it's pretty easy for the actors/actresses and other 'artists' to avoid many of the higher rates of taxation that are charged when they make over a certain amount of money. Just the way it is.

That's true as well. Silly Liberal Government with their democratic socialist allies... always raising taxes and never showing anything for all the extra cash.

Ahh, Magus. You have brought back memories of a really great song. They taught you that song in your history class?

Just finished the whole of Jefferson's/Madison's presidency; Louisiana Purchase/War of 1812. Plus she loves the band and we were reviewing the material. Not only did we listen to the songs but we played charades. Try acting out "Virginia", although she did say that I did better than anybody else could have in trying to act it out. I take comfort that my team one in the end.

I only heard those two songs. But I really want to hear whatever else they have that I can. This may include getting a burned copy of my Teacher's CD.

Canada's Really Big, by Arrogant Worms

When I look around me,
I can't believe what I see
It seems as if this country
Has lost its will to live
The economy is lousy,
We barely have an army
But we can still stand proudly
'Cause Canada's really big

We're the second largest country
On this planet Earth
And if Russia
Keeps on shrinking
Then soon we'll be first
(as long as we keep Quebec)

The USA has tanks
And Switzerland has banks
They can keep them, thanks
They just don't amount
'Cause when you get down to it
You find out what the truth is
It isn't what you do with it
It's the size that counts!

Most people
Will tell you
That France is pretty large
But you can put
Fourteen Frances
Into this land of ours
(it'd take a lotta work, it's take a whole lotta work)

We're larger than Malaysia
Almost as big as Asia
We're bigger than Australia
And it's a continent
So big we seldom bother
To go see one another
But we often go to other
Countries for vacation

Our mountains
Are very pointy
Our prairies are not
The rest is
Kinda bumpy
But, man, do we have a lot
(we gotta lot of land, we gotta whole lot of land)

So stand up and be proud
And sing out very loud
We stand out from the crowd 'cause
Canada's really big!

Canada doesn't have that many problems for an advanced country. Well, not serious problems. But obviously the Canadian government is to blame. I was referring to US companies and the US government bullying Canadian companies and gov.
