It's funny. Before I got Wally, the Venus Fly Trap, there was usually a fly or two buzzing around. They seem to have vanished. I know Wally didn't eat them yet, since it takes several days for a Fly Trap to digest a bug, and his "traps" are still open.

Flies: never any around when you want to feed them to your pet carnivorous plant! :P

No more six days a week, 12 hours a day work schedule!

I'm back, and maybe, once I move, I'll have a chance to do more than just a little writing. :D
Hope everyone is well!

Makes me glad that I don't have a job.

Then again, just talking to most people makes me glad that I don't have a job.

I knew somebody who once made/sold t-shirts with that on it.

Today wasn't too bad. Leg's not bothering me, finally managed to catch a few flies for Wally (all his traps are now closed, slowly digesting lunch). Went on a "pamper run" for a friend, had a nice time playing with the youngest. Got back home, noticed the date. 18 July. Hmm, it almost slipped by. Two years ago, on the 16th of July, at about this time (7 PM, central US time), I was being carted off in hand cuffs to the poky for what ended up being a 50 day stay in the slammer, and almost 7 months of unemployment, and almost 9 months of no net access.

Well, if anyone is writing a "space prison" story, and wants some first hand info of "life in the slam", just PM me. :P

I think, now that that little adventure is in the rear view mirror, this Friday, I'm going to buy a turkey breast, and have myself a little "thanksgiving" celebration. Looking back on the experience, I have a lot to be thankful for. Until you've experienced confinement, you really don't know what it's like, especially if you don't know how long you are going to be confined.

Well, enough of that. :)

When I was growing up, a brother leaving meant "Hot damn! Does that mean I get the room all to myself?"
