Many religions get a bit over-zealous in lots of ways. Look at the way that so many of the Moslems are regarding those who DON'T believe the way they do... or look at the Spanish Inquisition. And that's just TWO examples!

Please, alden! I'm a bigot, not a zealot.
And no, I didn't go on a Crusade or put people in a dungeon just to put tiles down.
Thats not to say speed an efficiency are not praised.
And in case you hadn't noticed, I wasn't alive when they did all those terrible things so you can't blame it on me...but I guess you could blame it on Religion in general, that definitely is easiest.
And as a side note: I really would like to be more zealous in my faith.

IMO, zealous can be very good, if it's properly directed. It's OVER-zealousness that seems to cause the problems.
Zealous: a young person goes out and works in a poor area, cleaning up trash, painting over ugly, peeling paint, and other such things, because he/she feels it's a religious duty to help others.
Over-Zealous: a young person stands on a street corner, screaming at passers-by as well as putting leaflets on cars and/or bombing said vehicles, due to those drivers using gasoline-powered vehicles, and does this because God told him/her, through his/her religious leader(s), that the evil people of the world are destroying God's Eden with polution.
I wasn't criticising you or your church (I know not what/who you worship). I was simply making a smart-aleck remark in an attempt to create humor.

I get ya.
I just looked up 'bigot' and decided that I am an open-mind bigot. here is one of the definitions:
bigot
n. [common] A person who is religiously attached to a particular computer, language, operating system, editor, or other tool...
