I'm sure you're right about WhylyKat and Kit are from "Spy Kids"

Vin Diesel makes a good Panthro. That's some pretty good masking (No pun intended) that they did, also.

This has been making the Email rounds with the following information...

"This is almost unbelievable. See how all of the balls wind up in catcher cones. This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between the Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa Amazingly, 97% of the machines components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft , Iowa ...Yes, farm equipment! It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see it was WELL worth the effort. It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University of Iowa , and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian."

It's not real. There's no Sharon Wick at the Iowa University's School of Engineering. There's no Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall and the Smithsonian already has figured out what it is.

What it is, is an animation done by Animusic

http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/musicmachine.asp

So it's not an engineering marvel, but it IS a cool animation. Always check the validity of something before you pass it on in an Email and enjoy this fine musical animation...

Austin Martin DBRS9 = F-100 Super Sabre?

Postby Qray » Mon Jan 25, 2010 9:27 am

Is it just me, or when you see the Austin Martin DBRS9 (beginning at around 7:00 in the video,) does anyone else immediately think F-100 Super Sabre? Especially when the car crests the rise at 9:42 in the video.

Eric Whitacre Virtual Choir 2.0: Sleep

Over 2,000 performances, 1,752 singers, most of whom will never meet, from all over the world. It's wonderful. Turn up your speakers, plug in your headphones.

This so incredibly cool ... way better than much of the SF FX currently out there. And who knew that the space shuttle ignition was sort of like a Zippo lighter? :o
