Personally, I don't think either side of the Force is more powerful or has more abilities available to its users. The Light Side just tries to avoid doing things that would upset the balance while the dark side does whatever it pleases

It's a classic idea. The good guys follow rules and regulations or personal morals that limit their ability to combat the enemy. The evil side doesn't have any rules to follow but will one day lead to its own demise through its actions

I feel that the point that Lucas was making there is a valid one. I'll leave it to you to determine just what that point was...

Human/alien nature one supposes. Different interpretation of doctrine or events.

This isn't always a bad thing per se. It offers different views and solutions to a problem. Looking at the Council debate a problem seems akin to the mental deliberations that can go on in a person's head when thinking about a problem.

I was thinking similar thoughts when when I came up with the idea of a focusing crystal that changes color with the users mood. However, I reasoned that of the two types of opponents you may come up against (one your more skilled than, or one your less skilled than,) it wouldn't cause much harm. Against an opponent that is less skilled, it could actually be a benefit. Working as a form of intimidation that could give you even more of an edge. When battling a more experienced foe, I originally didn't see it as something that would give away your actions as a skilled opponent would be able to read your movements, body position, facial expressions and already know your state of mind and next move.

However, the more I think about it, I see that your right. Against an experienced foe, it's best to keep whatever edge you can.

No Mood Sabers for the Ronin Knights!

I'll stay with the Viridian and Silver sabers until I can find one of those powerful, yet unstable focusing crystals I mentioned in an earlier post.
