My mother called yesterday evening, a squirrel had fallen down her chimney. My mother was afraid that it would get out and her cats would go after it. She put a trap in front of the fireplace to try to catch the squirrel, but was unsuccessful. This morning she called Animal Control who came and opened her front door and pull the cardboard out that was blocking the fireplace. The squirrel took off out the front door. The Animal Control lady said that squirrels run toward light.

ok we have a pet of sort's.
in my mothers office there was a butterfly.
and now she has brought it home.
it is living in the living room.

Until he jumped back out with a live bat in his mouth. He wouldn't let the bat go, so I carried the both of them outside and was finally able to get the bat free. Of course as soon as I got the bat out of Racetrack's mouth, I lost Racetrack too, so the idiot starts tearing around the yard like he's experiencing a cat's 1am freak out.

Yeah...good times.

Hopefully Racetrack has his rabies vaccine? That's the only reason our beasts get rabies vaccine, is just in case a bat or some other critter gets in the house.

well it would not be the pim house hold if it were not unique. yesterday it sat in one of the flowers in the vase on the table and then it flew on the floor walked about for a bit.
currently it is sitting on the edge of one of the carpets. it has not moved all day.

I always wanted to order one of those kits where you get a butterfly cacoon and a netted cage for it. I would release it into the wild afterward, but enjoy it for a little bit first.

What color is your butterfly and what is its name? Also are you serious or joking?

I'm serious. there is a butterfly living in the living room.
It just showed up in my mothers office and she brought it home. she did not want any one to accidentally kill it.

Coincidentally, the vet called yesturday and left a messate that Racetrack was overdue for his vacinations.

what do we feed the butterfly
mostly raw stake, bacon, you know butter fly food.

seriously we are a full service house hold.
our butterfly gets honey dissolved in water, sugar dissolved in water, and a selection of fresh flowers to choose from.
so far the honey dissolved in watter is its favorite.
