I suppose I should tell you about my plans with the one guy. Reejo's wild magic is... well... wild. This guy pulls a sort of Bruce-Banner in the sense that under extreme states of emotional stress, any kind of emotion, he becomes a zombie again. This is good when in battle, but he'll attack any around him, which is a non-non and a whoop-suh-daisy. But he's a kind and gentle man otherwise. I'm thinking he'll tag along. Worse comes to worse the party'll have to take care of him. Best of all worlds... he'll be an interesting addition to the group.

But "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." our characters can't know any of this yet.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

K

We must have the most secretive group of the lot. Everyone's hiding something.

Note...they are in a room of mass magical knowledge and power right now. All of those notes, books, and instruments were meant for nothing less than tampering with bodies and minds. He could accidently find the cure, find it on purpose through rummaging, or maybe an accidently encounter with the rune is in order...

...but that's just a thought.

Yeah, it's not going to be a major plot point, more of a sub plot.

The main character dying isn't a main plot?

So..if he does die...what happens to everyone else?

Well we can work that out if it comes down to it.

What I mean is the actual plot will continue unaffected, the issue of him finding a cure will come naturally, rather than having them go off and search specifically for a cure.
