[Princess of Fire]

"It's because I'm a demon...You know, not all demons are out to get you. Only the weak ones need to share a body." With that, he disappeared into the shadows again. Somehow, the girl touched a nerve.

She tightly closed her eyes and looked down sighing slightly. She seemed to lose her soft spot for demons. She seemed to lose her soft spot for all. She started to seriously onsider leaving as her pace slowed more

Galfimas slowed and came to a halt. He took a drink; long, slow and cold, it ran down the stubble of his chin. Then he suddenly felt a drip on his head. Thinking it was a splash from his waterskin or a bead of sweat, he gave it no heed. Bringing the waterskin to his side once again and lashing it to one of his bags, he felt another drop.

Drip.

Drop.

Plip.

Plop.

He looked up now, seeing that somehow the clouds had greyed and rolled up out of the east. Then quite abruptly, it began to rain.

'Now I am not sure what was worse,' he grumbled to himself.

Serisa's wolf ears flipped up. She looked back to Clarion. She heard the yelling but she didn't see anyone around her. She fell back in the group until she was by the girl.

"Is something wrong?" she asked wholeheartedly.

[Believer]

*she sighed as she looked up at the one that spoke to her "Please, just let me be alone" she spoke as nicely as she could, but coldness still lined her tone

Serisa nodded and gave the child her space.

Karuma felt a drop hit his head and his entire body shivered. Although he was under many trees, five more drops hit his head. He started to run but with each drop, he lost more power.

Galfimas looked back to the others, then scanned the landscape about them. 'As far as I can tell,' he said, the sound of rain now audiable as it began spashing off of the dry ground and the barren rocks, 'there's not a lot of cover around. We can keep going and hope to find some outcropping of stone that will hang above us, but we're a pretty large group. I don't know if we would fit anywhere.'

He turned and began walking again, now more briskly. 'Nevertheless, we should try. We don't want Vahn's condition getting any worse because he caught some cold or flu.'

[Believer]

She looked up as the rain fell down. She shook her head slightly, shaking the rain off her face. A sigh escaped her lips as she continued to walk like nothing was happening

Karuma continued to run but the rain was now ruining his vision. He kept running until he hit something or someone. He tried to look up to the thing but the rain had taken far too much energy and he fell out of consciousness.


Serisa and Alice followed close behind Galfimas both were soaked by now. Serisa kept looking back to Vahn but she could hardly see threw the rain.

The thing Karuma bumped into was a woman. She looked very much like an elf but had something dark about her. Her hair was jet black and fell past her hips. She wore silky a black dress and a matching tube top. With her amber eyes, she looked from the demon to the group. They did not seem like the kind of people who would harbor a demon...

Yes, she thought, this demon was looking for this group as a meal plan. The woman's eyes turned from amber to black and clouds of dark smoke wrapped themselves around Karuma.

"That should hold him for a while." she said in a smooth tone. Her eyes turned amber once again.

The elven woman stepped outside the forest and nodded to the group.

"Travelers," she said in a detached voice, "vel'bol ph' dos lorith whol ji feir wun nindol taur?"

Galfimas turned to the girl who approached them. She was klundor in race, and she spoke in their tongue. He had studied many tongues in his time, and klundor was not the least of these.

'Nobody make any rash moves,' he grumbled to the others, 'we cannot afford conflict right now.'

He took another step forward, indicating that he would be the spokesperson for their party.

'Im nin Galfimas,' he said, 'ar bethas de galak ki akkrul. Wetha gol karondul?'
