Shinya nodded and followed after. Inside the temple and away from the din of the city streets there was an eerie silence permeated only by the low chanting of the monks. Their voices were hushed and uniform, speaking in an unknown tongue to offer prayers to their god.
The temple was decorated in a macabre fashion resembling the skeletal structure of a great beast, with large bone like pillars rising up to meet each other in the vauted ceilings. Unnatural blue flames sat on candleholders on the wall and the light within was dim and pale, rendering everything a muted grey.
Shadows of vengeance
Reejo paused in his steps. He turned his eyes to the scenes all around him; the skeletal figures, the dark candles, the dim lighting, the macabre decorum, the somber dark colors. The he turned to himself, in his own, bright, ever-changing cloack of many colors. He looked at his comapnions and their dress as well.
"I think that perhaps a change in wordrobe is in order, wouldn't you?"

Before Shinya could answer a procession of monks entered the room. They did not seem to notice the others, marching as they did with their heads lowered, each holding a black candle in front of them.
"I do not think that will be necessary. The temple is a public place after all." Shinya replied. "For the moment at least we shouldn't need to disguise ourselves."

Another monk made his way through the chamber, though this one caught sight of Shinya and the others. He made his way towards them, his bare feet making a padding sound on the floor. He wore a bronze mask shaped like a skull and a thick grey cowl fastened by a length of rope.
"Is there anything I can do for you?" The monk asked, his voice thick and gravelly.

Reejo stood in silence, watching the intercourse play out. He'd learned enough that these monks of death were not to be trusted. He would be ready if anything... unfortunate... should happen.

"The head priest of our esteemed temple is recieving several important guests from overseas tonight. For that reason the temple will be closed to the public this evening." The monk explained. Shinya nodded in understanding. It must be them, he thought.
