Tina's personality was a very friendly one. She had learned many languages and, luckily, elven was one of them.

"Vedui' Jaylen, Usstan tlun Conzen." he said offering his hand to Jaylen.

"Huh?" Abby said looking up to Conzen. He shook his head.

A flock of crows swam through the sky at a distance. Hashin shinted; he thought he had nearly seen red eyes among them. "Are those spies of the Imperators?" he said, thinking out loud.

The birds turned westward. They almost seemed to represent the nerves twitching at the back of Hashin's mind, metaphorically speaking. There were great dangers further ahead, and many eyes to see them. This was, alas, only the beginning.

The rain eased after a time, and the rain clouds passed on, replaced with a slight vapor which dampened their skin. A rainbow beamed above them, over top of the higher ground where to which they climbed. This seemed an optimistic sign.

Hashin began climbing. The rocks and roots were wet, the ground mucky. Most of the trail was in tact however, although the rise grew steeper. "Watch your step," advised Hashin to the others. "It is a long way down..."
